Gaia Hypothesis or Gaia Theory

Gaia is an greek word , Which means Mother Earth.

Gaia Theory proposed  by chemist James Lovelock and co-developed by the microbiologist Lynn Margulis in the 1970s. It tells that this own planet named earth is a living organism. 


How can we tell whether the  Earth  is living or not ?

 It is the similar question like , How can you prove yourself that you are alive  ? or How can  you say you are only one organism ? 

It means that you are not only one organism each cell in the body, things that each of them are individual . And each nose that is used to breath is one of your body parts and the heart that pumps the blood is another part of the body . And microscopic  hosts and other bacteria that live  in the body are also part of you and that relationship is called Symbiotic Relationship . Each of these are running separately and think that all are different .


 But it is not like that every part and every cell is only part  you are the living person. You are only one. Like that every person or every animal or every plant and joined together and makes the planet named earth it means that earth is also alive. Which means we are like bacteria in our body to earth and assume that the whole part of earth is the human body. It tells that the earth is a gigantic living organism .


You may have a question if it is alive , is there any possibility to think or feel or  other thing live human??

It is not like that every organ in the body will decide about our health and our body  condition. Like that living organism in the earth will decide the situation and condition of the earth.

Another similarity is our body is made up of 70% of water lso the earth is made up of 70% of water.   Our body temperature will help us to adopt and decide the heath of the body .

Like that earth temperature will decide about the earth condition by using the atmosphere.


All the organism is able to absorb and emit the light like that earth also is able to absorb and emit the light it is seen only from outer space. When we see the earth from outer space it shows that only  big blue round ball , but human and other living organisms are not visible in that point but we are living in that ball and it will make us think the earth is also living. The living organism in the earth is helping the earth to maintain the earth as a habitating planet . 


Facts to prove this theory: 

  • After some Million years of Big Bang Occurrence  ,4.1 Billion Years back earth atmosphere contains only helium and hydrogen gases in it. And it was over heat at that time .After some billion years it due to  volcanic erosion in earth it releases the CO2 and NH3 (Carbon-di-oxide and Nitrogen Ammonia) and also small amounts of water particles are present in it .After that it became the living planet because of one bacteria named “CYANOBACTERIA”  that bateria do the photosynthesis process by its own. And it will create the oxygen by that process with help of all living organisms formed. It tells that one living organism makes that planet a habitating planet . It is not common for all planets. All the Living organism makes the planet like that.

  • Second Sea Water contains only 3.5% salt in that it helps to maintain the magnetic stability of the earth . IF all water goes to the sea with minerals it % wants to increase it is matter in science which tells us that bacteria in seawater will help us to maintain the salt %.

    


Note: 

 When this theory was proposed it gave the big question to all science , And it is opposite to Charles Darwin's theory of evolution . But after some days all scientists are able to get the natural based answer from this theory. At present only 40% of scientist are accept the theory so far.
